The first was a general overview of thoughts, feelings and the law of attraction.
This article looks at a common problem that happens when your life improves rapidly by doing visualization exercises like you may be doing with Mind Movies 2.1.
When Good Change Happens
get a great new job
fall in love
have rapid business success
lose a lot of weight
get healthy – overcome a longterm illness
overcome a big difficulty
become famous or well-known
rise to the top of your profession quickly
get a big promotion
have an incredible month financially
stumble into success in any area
You may find yourself feeling upsetting emotions and thinking negative thoughts.
And unless you’re familiar with this common reaction, you might be totally confused. You might even feel guilty or ashamed – worsening the problem.
Why would you feel bad when good things happen?
It’s as if your emotional state has a set point, like a thermostat setting.
If happiness and success runs on a scale from 0 – 10, let’s say you’ve been running between a 4 and 6.
Then you fall in love, lose 20 pounds or get a great new job or promotion.
Quickly, your happiness and success shoot up to 7-9.
There are parts of you, mostly unconscious, that are uncomfortable with getting so much happier so quickly.
There might even be poeple in your life who are uncomfortable with your sudden success.
And you might fear that you can’t sustain it …that something bad might happen to destroy your happiness.
You may fear others will judge or criticize you …that you’ll be ridiculed or laughed at.
There are many reasons why parts of you may prefer to stay at your previous, less happy state.
These reasons may be mostly or entirely unconscious.
What Can You Do?
There are two things I’ve found to be very effective at soothing the need for self sabotage and easing the resistance to change.
One: EFT on the feelings of resistance.
Two: Matrix Reimprinting on the life events that taught us that success isn’t safe or possible or that we aren’t worthy.
Matrix Reimprinting needs to be learned or done with a practitioner, or via the Matrix Reimprinting online webinar course or by reading the book: Matrix Reimprinting Using EFT: Rewrite Your Past, Transform Your Future.
But EFT can easily be done on your own.
