EFT Videos Series: EFT Tapping for Winners
Watch this YouTube EFT video (Emotional Freedom Tapping) to learn about the need for your intention – to win – to match your subconscious beliefs. Emotional Tapping Therapy is a quick way to get at that unconscious programming that can make us lose, when we want to win.
This video, in the EFT videos series, is about mental and emotional congruence in sports. EFT tapping is a simple way to get all lined up and congruent – so all of you wants to win.
What Makes Up Athletic Skill?
Troy Tanner, the husband of my niece Desiree Tanner (my nephew-in-law?), once told me this:
The top handful of people in any sport are equally athletically.
When you’re one of those top people, winning is mental.
I think Troy knows what he’s talking about.
He was on the US volleyball team that won the gold medal in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Last year, he coached Misty May and Kerri Walsh to a gold medal in beach volleyball for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
I’ve thought about what Troy told me over the years, because I’ve realized that what he said goes beyond sports.
Succeeding in everything is mostly mental.
The Mental Game
William Thompson made this video about congruence in sports. He gives an example of consciously wanting to win, but having subconscious beliefs like:
I’m a loser.
I’m not worthy of winning.
I’ll never make this shot.
I’ll never be a champion in my sport.
And the cool thing is, EFT tapping can clear those beliefs and replace them with beliefs like:
I’m a winner.
I’m worthy of winning.
This will be a great shot.
I look forward to becoming a champion.
And as Thompson says, when your conscious plans (to win) match your subconscious beliefs (you’re a winner), you can win.
