Is Meridian Tapping for Real?

Tapping EFT for motivationTapping EFT . . . and what?  How could tapping on your face possibly do anything to make you feel better.  

Doesn’t that sound ridiculous?

It sure did to me the first time I heard about it.

Here are three typical problems that face:  no motivation, feeling overwhelmed and doubting ourselves.  

I show you a simple Tapping EFT technique to help you feel better fast. 

Three Problems You Can Help Resolve By Tapping

1. No Motivation for the Day

Do you sometimes wake up in the morning and you just don’t have the desire, energy or motivation to face the day that’s ahead of you?

This is something we can all face from time to time.

Tapping – EFT can help a lot. It can help give you energy for the things you’ve committed to do, and it can help you see what you might want to change in your life so you do feel more passion, enthusiasm and energy

Here’s a tapping script you can use for those mornings of low motivation.  Feel free to change it to fit your situation more closely.

Eyebrow:  I have zero motivation.  

Side of Eye:  I don’t even want to get out of bed. 

Under Eye:  I don’t want to do all that’s before me today. 

Under Nose:  I’d rather just go back to sleep.  

Under Chin:  No motivation. 

Collarbone:  No passion. 

Under Arm:  I’m not excited about anything right now. 

Top of Head:  That’s how it is and that’s ok with me. 

Take a nice easy breath in and out. 

Eyebrow:  What if I could feel a little motivation?

Side of Eye:  If I could feel motivated, I might be motivated about (fill in the blank). . .

Under Eye:  If I could feel excited, I might be excited about . . .

Under Nose:  If I wanted to get out of bed, I’d want to . . .

Under Chin:  If I did feel passion, it might be for . . .

Collarbone:  If I wanted to do something this morning that I felt passon about, it might be to . . .

Under Arm:  I might be open to the possibility of passion and motivation returning to me. 

Top of Head:  Just maybe.

Take a nice slow deep breath in and out.  Do you feel different than before you tapped?

2. Feeling Overwhelmed With Your Life

I’ve got a lot of experience waking up overwhelmed!  

When I sold my house, my truck and got rid of all my possessions to leave the country and make my living online, I kind of invited overwhelm into my life. Especially since I cut off all former means of income before I was making a consistent living online.  


Here’s a script for that overwhelmed feeling – coming from a very personal place (my own overwhelm):

Eyebrow:  I feel stressed out about the day ahead.

Side of Eye: I’ve got too much to do.

Under Eye: I don’t see how I can get everything done.

Under Nose: And I feel stressed just thinking about it.

Chin:  I feel a little nervous and anxious.

Collarbone:  I feel it in my body.

Under Arm: I feel overwhelmed by my To Do list.

Top of Head:  I know I can’t do it all and that makes me feel stressed.

This first “round” of tapping should make you feel somewhat better – if it doesn’t, tap it again, changing the words to fit your situation more closely. 

Next, ask yourself, “What would I like to be feeling instead of this overwhelm?”  Then tap a second round using the answers you heard. 

You might tap things like:

I’d like to just take one step at a time. 

I’d like to feel confident that I am making progress toward my goals. 

I’d like to be encouraging to myself. 

I’d like to be supportive of my progress. 

I’d like to be a cheerleader for myself. 

I’d like to trust my passion to do this.

3.  Doubting Yourself and Your Ability to Create a Good Life

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t hear that little voice of self doubt from time to time.  I think it’s a symptom of being human.  It’s that part of our brain that wants to keep us safe, by keeping us small.  

It’s a survival instinct – but not a THRIVAL instinct. 

The best thing to do with those doubts is to face them head on.  If you don’t, if you try to ignore them, they’ll still be lurking in your subconscious.  They’ll be taking up energy as you try to suppress them, keep them hidden and silent.  

So look them in the eye, say their names out loud, and tap them out of existence.  

I recommend tapping on your doubts and fears every morning.  That’s what I do and it takes the power out of them and back into you and your passions.

Here’s a tapping list of some common doubts (I’ve got them all – that’s how I can think them up so easily!).  

  • I can’t do it. 
  • I’ll never succeed. 
  • I’m not good enough. 
  • I don’t know enough. 
  • I’m not as good as them.
  • I’ll be criticized.
  • I’ll be laughed at. 
  • I’m going to fail . . . again. 
  • This isn’t worth it. 
  • My goals are too lofty. 
  • I might as well give up now. 
  • I’m not worthy. 
  • I have to stay safe. 
  • It’s not safe to shine. 
  • Who do I think I am to have such lofty goals?
  • I’m going to go broke.
  • I’ll die broke, alone and sick. 

Tap a round or two of your doubts and fears.  

If you don’t feel somewhat better, tap another round, really getting to the core of your fears.  

Then tap a couple rounds of confidence-building statements.  These can start with “What if . . .” or “Wouldn’t it be nice if . . .”  

Here are some examples:

  • What if I could trust my instincts?
  • What if I could feel confidence that taking one small step at a time will get me to my goals.
  • What if I can hold on to my passion.
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I could keep the vision of my success?
  • Wouldn’t it be nice if I could be my own best supporter?
  • I choose to trust in me. 
  • I choose to keep moving toward my goals and dreams. 
  • I’ve decided I AM worth it. 
  • I’m worthy of success.
