EFT for Procrastination

EFT Technique for Procrastination2-Year Old Tapping Technique

EFT:  Do you ever feel like an obstinate two-year old?

Refusing to do what you know you should be doing?

Wasting all kinds of energy, procrastinating for days or weeks, as you dread doing what you know you’ll eventually do anyway?

I have a solution.

It’s worked great many times for me and I’m confident it will work for you too.

It’s a special form of Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT tapping.

EFT is a mind body technique that includes thinking, feeling your emotions and tapping on certain stress-relieving energy meridian points.

You think thoughts and feel emotions about something that’s bothering you.

At the same time, you tap on certain points on your head and torso.

The special stress-relief points you tap on are along chi meridians, the ones used in acupuncture.

It sounds and looks totally weird.  But, amazingly, it works.

You can use this tapping technique for absolutely any limiting emotion or thought or even the underlying emotions of pain or illness.

But it’s amazing when you use it for procrastination.

Here’s the EFT technique I recommend.  It’s very simple and it can get you started using Emotional Freedom Tapping if you’re new to it.

Tap with two or three fingers of either hand, on either side of your body.  Tap about 10 times at each point.  Watch this YouTube EFT video to quickly learn the tapping points.

Two Year Old Tapping

I call this Refusal Tapping or Two Year Old Tapping. I call it that because as you tap, you simply state that you’re refusing to do the thing you’re procrastinating.

Here’s what you do.

Think of the thing you are avoiding doing.  The thing you’re procrastinating and dreading.

Begin tapping and repeating these phrases.

Eyebrow: I don’t want to do it!

Side of Eye: I’m dreading doing it.

Under Eye: I hate the thought of doing it.

Under Nose: I don’t even want to think about doing it.

Chin: I refuse to do it!

Collarbone: You can’t make me do it.

Under Arm: I don’t have to do it.

Top of Head: I’m not doing it.

Believe it or not, that’s it!  You can tap the same phrases for one round (eyebrow point to top of head) or several rounds.

Then just notice what happens in the next few minutes, hours or days.

You may be surprised at how your avoidance and procrastination changes.
